Pinocchio Fountain Pen in Orange and Brown

Here we have a quite rare and unusual Stipula 'Pinocchio' fountain pen mounted in its original book with outer sleeve. The pen has an 18ct gold broad italic grade nib (this nib is what Stipula call a 1.3 Italic and is marked thus) and has never been used; the pen is inspired by the Florentine Carlo Collodi story, written in 1881, of the little marionette known as Pinocchio. The pen is in the form of the cut of the 'common log' marionette with the pointed hat top and long nose clip; the pen was produced in December 2002, is a limited edition of 881, and this is numbered 130; the book is writen in Italian.
