> Sheaffer PFM III Set in Black with Gold Plated Trim
A Sheaffer PFM (PFM meaning Pen for Men) is a little larger than the average pen but still not too large for a ladies hand and I know a few ladies that use one as an everyday pen; it uses the unusual snorkel filling system which is generally found to be quite a talking point; these pens were made in 1959 in five colours viz. black, burgundy, blue, green, and grey and in five models viz. PFM I, PFM II, PFM III, PFM IV, and PFM V; this pen set is the black one with the gold plated trim.
This is another burgundy PFM III pen set in perfect mechanical condition but has been used so there are fine surface scratches visible under a glass; there is no plating wear on the clips or the bands. The nib of the pen is a lovely fine grade 14ct gold and writes nicely; boxed too and probably the original. The ballpen is in working order with a blue refill of the old style but this pen also uses the modern refills so no problems with replacements; the pencil is in working order and has spare leads and a new eraser both of which are readily available in the High Street.
