This is a very nice desk pen that has been used but not been used much; the surfaces are very good and there are no cracks, splits or dings. The nib of the fountain pen is a medium grade 14ct gold Lifetime and marked USA; the pen is a piston-filler and requires ink from a bottle. The base is good too; the tail of the pen is either from a silver striated pen or has faded; it is hardly noticeable in normal use.
