> 624 Taper Cap Fountain Pen in Black with MOP

Here is a very nice 624 in black hard rubber with a mother of pearl (MOP) barrel covering; it was made in the late 1910s or early 1920s and has been used; the pen has a No.2 medium grade 14ct gold nib which is a little flexible; the pen is an eye-dropper-filler which needs to be filled from a bottle with a pipette. There is no imprint visible on the barrel side as its covered but there is '624' on the barrel end however, the '6' is a little spaced from the '24' which makes me think that the factory was short of 624s so grabbed a 24 and added the 6, who knows, some strange things keep occurring in my little pen world.
