A very nice condition Major Vacumatic fountain pen in silver pearl (silver and black) that has an aluminium lock-away filler and nickel-plated trim; there is virtually no plating wear on the bands and the clip but the tassie ring is gold-plated. There are no cracks or splits and virtually no scratches either; the blind cap tassie is black but the clip tassie is stripey. The pen has been stripped, cleaned, had a new diaphragm fitted, reassembled, adjusted, and write tested. The nib is a very nice medium grade single-colour 14ct gold, and I would think, original to the pen; it writes like a dream. The imprint is quite readable.
